Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services, Inc. Submitted by: Jack Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services, Inc. has provided court reporting and digital reporting to South Florida’s legal community since 1987. Specialized training and state of the art equipment allows Accurate Reporting to be prepared for all potential court reporting and transcription needs. Centrally located, Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services is capable of servicing Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Their professional staff of certified court reporter Miami are qualified to handle strict deadlines, daily turnaround requests, and in the end, deliver their product in the latest digital formats that are required for today’s high-tech working environments. Whether for a deposition, hearing, trial, mediation, arbitration, board meeting, conference, or just about any proceeding where a record is needed, their court reporters are trained to meet individual needs. When it comes time to have these proceedings transcribed, Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services is ready to provide transcripts. Coming together as a team, they are able to produce verbatim transcripts, delivered when they are needed. Accurate Reporting offers daily transcription service, overnight, two-day expedite, three-day expedite, four-day expedite, five-day expedite, and seven to ten-day service. Their transcripts may be requested in a variety of different formats. Along with transcript orders, upon request, Accurate Reporting can provide clients with a copy of the deposition on diskette in ASCII format. ASCII is a standardized format that allows the legal professional to import the file into other litigation support software that they may have. An ASCII file is capable of being opened up in Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect, via text format. Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services recommends the E-Transcript files because they are 100% tamperproof so attorneys can feel confident about referencing it in court. E-Transcripts are signed and sealed with digital, E-Transcript Signatures™. E-Transcript files guarantee page and line integrity, unlike ASCII files which are prone to shifting. When you copy a short excerpt of the transcript into a motion or other document, the page and line citations are automatically included! E-Transcript files open in a free, handy viewer that is specifically designed for transcripts. Accurate Reporting can embed the E-Transcript Viewer with the client’s transcript, but they suggest that clients download the free viewer to their computer. You can get the free download from: http://www.reallegal.com/softwareDownloadETranscriptViewer.asp. Every E-Transcript sent will automatically open in the viewer. E-Transcript files easily import into transcript management and trial presentation products such as LiveNote SR (version 9.1 and above). Key-word indexing is also available, allowing instant recall text by word via an alphabetical listing. Accurate Reporting is also able to transcribe digital recordings, including CourtSmart, FTR, CDs, DVDs, and more. Accurate Reporting and Transcription Services, Inc. knows that attorneys demand accountability and accuracy, and have built their reputation on meeting those requirements. They have among their clientele some of the top law firms and attorneys in Florida. Their company goal is to serve potential clients’ reporting needs with the same excellent service their clients have come to expect. Miami Video Depositions, Video Synchronization, Video Teleconferencing and Legal Video
THE BENEFITS
Videoconferencing technology allows two or more people at different locations to see and hear each other at the same time. The rich communications technology of videoconferencing offers new possibilities for legal professionals in need of out-of-town meetings, collaborations, depositions and trial-preparation.
When your attorneys are in different geographic locations, travel costs can become a big part of the company's expenses.
Some attorneys spend a few days a week in one office, and a few days in another. Obviously, travel is expensive and time-consuming, and attorneys, managers, and even in-house trainers who are on the road are less accessible to colleagues and clients.
This is where videoconferences can alleviate substantial expenses for you, both tangible and intangible, and also reflect on the prestige of your firm.
And, as part of a worldwide network of Legal Videoconferencing Centers, Accurate staff and Court Reporters can help you benefit from the convenience, coordination and support demanded by international legal affairs.
THE EXPERIENCE.
Placing an ISDN videoconferencing call is a lot like placing a telephone call. After Accurate connects you with your other attendees, you see the other person(s) in color video and you can also transfer files or collaborate via options such as document sharing or whiteboarding. The video frame rate varies from 15-30 frames per second, allowing a smooth audio and video experience.
Of course, videoconferences can be taped for review later. And in the case of depositions where written testimony cannot relay the attitude, emotions and body-language of a witness, videotaping a declaration can add invaluable support that can be viewed by a jury later.
BASIC VIDEOCONFERENCING TECHNOLOGY
A videoconference system must have audiovisual equipment (monitor, camera, microphone, and speaker) as well as a means of transmitting information between sites. As you can imagine, highband connection with studio-quality equipment produces an excellent full-motion video connection, but the equipment and transmission expense is huge and few legal offices can afford the investment in a videoconferencing system for their infrequent needs.
Videoconferencing connections may be limited to a closed network (such as a LAN) or may use public networks (such as regular phone lines). Accurate Videoconferencing Centers connect via ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Netork) for high-quality videoconferencing, transmitting at a minimum of 128 Kbps per line, thus providing dedicated bandwidth for smooth audio and video (15-30 frames per second).
Videoconferencing can also be performed via the Internet, however, an Internet-based connection often shares or competes for bandwidth with other Internet data, which may cause audio clipping or delays resulting in jerky video on slow networks.
INCREASES CONNECTION WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD.
When a live visit is not possible, videoconferences makes face-to-face visits possible and cost-effective, convenient meetings can take place. And, as videoconferencing is usually easier than visiting, communication can be more frequent, saving time and resources for all parties involved.
Legal technologies, such as real-time court reporting and presentation software, have transformed the legal profession, bringing it to the 21st century. While videoconferencing isn’t necessarily new to the legal profession, it has become easier to use and less expensive than in the past. Not only that, videoconferencing technology has improved dramatically, delivering crystal clear, high definition sound and images. If your law firm’s travel expenses need to be trimmed, consider videoconferencing as a solution.
